Swedish massage is typically what people think of when they think of a relaxing massage. It is by far the most common type of massage utilized by massage therapists. Swedish massage involves the use of long gliding strokes to help warm and relax the muscles.

People love Swedish massage because of the deep level of relaxation that it helps them achieve. The massage is typically not too deep so that it does not cause a lot of pain and it utilizes long drawn out strokes to help slow the breathing. Both of these things are shown to aid the relaxation process. We often get clients who say they are drooling by the end of a Swedish massage because of the depth of relaxation they achieve.

Allie was phenomenal! She pointed out certain areas that were extra tense and gave me tips/stretches to help ease the pain in those areas. It felt very natural to chat with her. No weird obligations or upsells that one might expect from other places. I was going to make this a one-off experience because it was a gift from a family member but now I want to go back! 10/10 I feel like pudding.

Our first time getting a couples massage today at Calming Touch and we really enjoyed it. Amanda and Allie were great to work with. My husband has back and neck pain and Amanda gently worked on him. Allie noticed some stiffness in my neck I didn’t realize and was able to stretch it out more. Really appreciated the genuine care they took with us. The office and room was very peaceful and welcoming. We’re new to the area and glad to have found a place for our massages. We will for sure be making future appointments here.

I had my first massage ever with Candy, and she was absolutely amazing! I was a little nervous going in since I didn’t know what to expect, but she made me feel comfortable and relaxed from the moment I arrived. She was very kind, professional, and made sure I was comfortable throughout the entire session. You can tell she truly cares about her clients and wants them to have a great experience. I left feeling refreshed and already looking forward to my next appointment. I highly recommend Candy, especially if it’s your first massage!

Woke with debilitating pain due to ongoing poor posture with no relief after two chiropractic adjustments. Saw Calming Touch same-day for 50 minute therapeutic massage. and the next day had little to no pain that I have not been able to manage myself with the advice provided by their team. I was even able to walk SLC's pride parade within 24 hours! The masseuse Cliff was very knowledgeable and considerate of the main pain points while also doing everything needed to ensure the stiffness and pain- would not spread. Now we're into the work week with no issues and the pain I felt has nearly dissipated! Real life angels!!
